The Monteacuto farm: a story of passion for the vine and the olive tree

The Monteacuto farm is a reality that was born in an ancient village of Puegnago, where grandfather Antonio began the agricultural activity. From the 70s onwards, Giuseppe Leali and then Antonio Leali dedicated themselves to the production of wine and extra virgin olive oil with great passion.

A family business

Today the company is led by Antonio Leali, assisted by his son Simone, his wife Antonia and daughter Marta. From the small plot of land passed down from generation to generation, the company has grown to occupy a total area of ​​14 hectares, with 8 hectares dedicated to viticulture and 6 hectares to olive growing.

Excellence becomes wine

The company produces about 40,000 bottles a year divided into seven different labels. Among the most popular are Groppello , Chiaretto, Simut, Montagü , Riesling and Rosso. But the most interesting novelty of recent years is undoubtedly the Spumante Rosato Turmalino. The particular microclimate of the area, characterized by an altitude of about 250 meters above sea level and by the favorable winds of Lake Garda, makes the Monteacuto wine a true excellence.

Extra virgin olive oil: excellence of the company

Extra virgin olive oil is another flagship of Monteacuto. In fact, the manufacturing company uses two varieties of olives: Casaliva and Leccino, which give the product its intense green hue and very fruity taste. The fruits are picked by hand from the century-old trees and taken to the mill within a few hours of harvesting to ensure maximum freshness and quality. The result is an oil with an intense flavour, with herbaceous notes typical of the area.
